Cycle tour “Wieker Bodden”
The Wieker Bodden is one of the so-called Nordrügener Bodden. It is a lagoon that is almost completely surrounded by the island of Rügen. A wonderful excursion by bike. From Wieck, you cycle directly along the water and can enjoy the view of the waters.
Duration of the circular cycle tour: approx. 2 hours
Length: approx. 31 km
Elevation gain: approx. 70 metres
From the AQUAMARIS Strandresidenz, you cycle across the Wittow peninsula towards Wiek. Wiek is already signposted as a cycle path in Juliusruh.
In Wieck, right by the water, turn right and cycle towards Starrvitz. The section from Wiek to Starrvitz, directly on the Wieker Bodden, has a good surface. If there is a bit of wind, many water sports enthusiasts can be observed.
The route continues to Dranske and from there to Lancken. The Lancken avenue is well developed and also perfect for cyclists. The way back leads via Altenkirchen back to Juliusruh, where you can pay a visit to the stone sheep in Juliusruh Park.
The tour is well described on Komoot:
