Along the approximately one-kilometre stretch, you will discover small cafés, ice cream parlours, boutiques and cosy restaurants – ideal for an afternoon stroll or a glass of wine with a sea view. Near the promenade is the central Löberplatz square with fountains, cafés, restaurants and places to stroll – the lively heart of Juliusruh.
Just a few minutes’ walk away, Juliusruh Park invites you to take a relaxing stroll under old trees. The historic spa gardens with their well-tended paths, benches and flower beds are a wonderful place for a short break in the countryside. The open-air exhibition there is particularly worth seeing, vividly recounting the history of the town and the development of the Juliusruh seaside resort.
Behind the edge of the dunes and in the adjacent coastal protection forest, you can stroll along shady paths, enjoy nature or discover mushrooms and plants. The forest also protects against the wind and provides pleasant coolness and tranquillity even on hot summer days – a wonderful place to take a deep breath and slow down.
Active holidaymakers will also get their money’s worth without a car: water sports such as stand-up paddling and windsurfing are available in the immediate vicinity, and those who prefer a more leisurely experience of the water can take a stroll around Breege harbour or go on a boat trip to the island of Hiddensee.
The beach, which is supervised in summer, is located directly in front of the AQUAMARIS Strandresidenz – ideal for families with children, sun worshippers and anyone who loves the sea. Here you can swim, collect shells or rent a beach chair and let your gaze wander over the vastness of the Baltic Sea.
And if you are travelling with your dog, there is a dog beach just a few minutes away where four-legged friends are also welcome.
