• Cape Arkona: It is one of the most famous places on Wittow and a real highlight on Rügen. Cape Arkona is known for its two historic lighthouses and picturesque coastal landscape. The cliffs offer an impressive view of the Baltic Sea.
• Fishing village of Vitt: A small, charming fishing village near Cape Arkona. The traditional thatched-roof houses and peaceful atmosphere make it a picturesque destination.
• Nordstrand: The beach is ideal for long walks and offers beautiful views of the coast. Access to Nordstrand is possible via the village of Putgarten, which is the northernmost point of the island of Rügen. From Putgarten, you can reach the beach either on foot or by taking one of the shuttle buses to nearby attractions such as Cape Arkona. Nordstrand offers an open and relatively wild coastal landscape, ideal for walks and watching sunsets over the Baltic Sea.
• Schinkel Tower: Another historic lighthouse at Cape Arkona, designed by Karl Friedrich Schinkel. It is not only of historical significance, but also offers a fantastic view from the top.
• Nobbin barrow: Near Putgarten, you can visit the well-preserved megalithic tomb of Nobbin, a testimony to the prehistoric settlement of this region.
• Rügenhof Arkona: The farm offers local handicrafts, regional products and a small museum on the history and culture of the region.
• Hiking and cycling: The landscape on Wittow is ideal for active recreation. Numerous hiking and cycling trails lead through beautiful natural areas and to secluded beaches.
