A day trip to the Skywalk at the Königstuhl

It is only 18 km from the AQUAMARIS Strandresidenz to the Königstuhl in Sassnitz. So you can be there in 20 minutes by car. But there is so much to experience that you should plan a day trip.

The Königsstuhl is a striking chalk formation on Rügen and belongs to the Jasmund National Park. The Skywalk is a modern viewing platform that allows you to experience the breathtaking view of the chalk cliffs and the Baltic Sea from a bird’s eye view.

The path to the Skywalk leads through the impressive beech forest of the national park, which is a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site. During your hike you can discover the island’s unique flora and fauna. The climb may be strenuous, but the view from the skywalk is worth every effort.
